EMOTIONALLY UNAVAILABLE
The term "emotionally unavailable" refers to those who create barriers between themselves and others in an effort to avoid emotional intimacy. Relationships with emotionally unavailable people are depressing and distressing, as their partners end up feeling neglected, unloved and unwanted. Emotionally unavailable people will actually seek out relationships with others, but the problems begin when they are unable to commit fully to their relationships. They have a host of excuses as to why they can’t be as much of a partner as you would like them to be and then they blame “timing”, and tell you that “If only things were different, you’d be the perfect "girlfriend" or "boyfriend" but that doesn’t explain why they continue to play havoc with your emotions.
Mr. and Ms. Unavailable are very much about the chase. They pursue hard, shower you with attention and lay it on thick in order to reel you in, but from the moment that you are hooked and things get comfortable, they back off. Because emotionally unavailable people often behave as if they want to be in a relationship, it's important to be able to recognize the signs that a person is emotionally unavailable. Find out the warning signs.

God cares about what concerns us
Psalm 138: 7-8
Though I walk in the midstof trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies and Your right hand will save me. The Lord will perfect that which concerns me;
Perfect means to end, finish, accomplish, come to an end, cease, to perform and to fulfill. God will perfect (fulfill) all his promises and purposes for our life and he is committed to it. God cares about you and he is concerned about you. Never feel that God has forgotten about you or your problems and concerns.

Consider the Ant
A lot of you know that during the month of December I fast and wake for 5am prayer. I'm so amazed at the things that are being revealed to me. I opened my bible this morning and went to Proverbs 30:24-28. It was not my intent to go here but I landed there. The scripture reads:
Proverbs 30:24-28
I remember reading and studying this passage before, but it moved me so this morning that I had to put my thoughts on paper. I will share some information with you guys. I'm always referring to the dictionary when I'm reading so ofcourse I went there today because I wanted some more detail about the ant.
THE ANT (vs. 25)In verse 25 it states that ants are "not strong. I believe this to be true. After all, I can step on an ant and crush him! But in relative terms ants have amazing strength. If you've ever been at a picnic or outdoor event and dropped food and now ants are everywhere. Next time before you crush them take the time to watch them in action. While carrying this food they're tireless and strong. I read that the ant can carry ten to fifty times their own weight! That would be like a 150 lb. man carrying an object of 1,500 to 7,500 pounds! But more important than that, ants are constantly making preparation for the future. It seems they never rest. They are in constant motion as they go about their work.
Ants are also armored. Scientists call the hard, outer shell of an ant "chitin." It protects them from a hostile environment and contributes to their strength. We should be armoured as well. We live in a hostile world. All around us are evil men who would undo our faith. But God has provided us with a unique armor:
"...take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand" Ephesians 6:13.
Like the ant, we must constantly prepare for the future. We must tirelessly go about the work of the Lord. "I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work" John 9:4.
* there was so much coming at me with these scriptures that I just could not put it all here. If I did it would be a book. When you have time today read up on all these animals, it will bless you.*

Proverbs 30:24-28
King James Version (KJV)24There be four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise:
25The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer;
26The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks;
27The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands;
28The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings' palaces.
26The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks;
27The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands;
28The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings' palaces.

Words have POWER!!
Mark 11:22-24
So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. 23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. 24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
Sometimes people can say words that can hurt us, cause discouragement and even anger. But in the Spirit words have Power and we can speak words that can change our life. We can speak blessings over our home, spouse, children,friends, family, finances, etc...Words can change your life and allow you to get in line with God's will for your life. In order to cause something that God has promised to be manifested in the natural, you must speak, or confess, His Word and agree with God! God will back up His promise and bring it pass. Speak the Word, Believe the Word, and watch how God Blesses.

Don't give up!
Galatians 6:9
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Like many of you, I've wanted to quit...so many times I can't even count. Success is hard to obtain and even harder to maintain. But what keeps me going is the thought of all the negative people who are waiting on me to fail. But most importantly, I don't want to let down those who are cheering me
on to Victory.
I've included a clip from a show I did with Actor and Comedian Rodney Perry of The Monique Show and Tyler Perry's film Madea's Big Happy Family.
Don't allow anyone to discourage you about your dreams and aspirations,
Don't allow anyone to make you feel you are not qualified, for the Lord will qualify you.
Be Blessed

J. Blackfoot dies
J. Blackfoot (born John Colbert, November 20, 1946 – November 30, 2011),[1] was an American soul singer, who was a member of The Soul Children in the late 1960s and 1970s, and subsequently had a moderately successful solo career. His biggest hit was "Taxi", which reached the charts in both the US and UK in 1984.
John Colbert was born in Greenville, Mississippi, moving to Memphis, Tennessee with his family as a child. Generally known as "J." or "Jay", he acquired the nickname "Blackfoot" as a child, for his habit of walking barefoot on the tarred sidewalks. In 1965, while spending some time in Tennessee State Penitentiary in Nashville for car theft, he met Johnny Bragg, the founder of the Prisonaires vocal group.[2] After leaving prison he recorded a single under his own name for the small Sur-Speed label, before returning to Memphis, where he was heard singing in a street corner group by David Porter of Stax Records. After the plane crash that claimed the lives of Otis Redding and four members of The Bar-Kays, he joined the reconstituted group as lead singer, and performed with them for several months but did not record.[3]
In 1968, after Sam & Dave had moved from Stax to Atlantic Records, Porter and his songwriting and production partner Isaac Hayes decided to put together a new vocal group of two men and two women. They recruited Blackfoot, together with Norman West, Anita Louis, and Shelbra Bennett, to form The Soul Children. Between 1968 and 1978, The Soul Children had 15 hits on the R&B chart, including three that crossed over to the Billboard Hot 100, and recorded seven albums.[4][3]
The Soul Children disbanded in 1979. Blackfoot worked with bands in the Memphis area, and recorded solo for the local Prime Cut label. In 1983, he began working again with writer and producer Homer Banks, with whom he had recorded with The Soul Children, and recorded "Taxi", a song originally written for Johnnie Taylor but not recorded by him. Blackfoot's record rose to no. 4 on the R&B chart and no. 90 on the pop chart, also reaching no. 48 in the UK.[5][6] He recorded several albums, and had several more R&B hits on Banks' Sound Town label before moving to the Edge label formed by Al Bell in 1986. In 1987, he had another significant hit, "Tear Jerker", a duet with Ann Hines, reaching no. 28 on the R&B chart.[5][4][7] He later moved to the Basix label, continuing to release albums into the new millennium.
In 2007, Blackfoot and West reformed the Soul Children, with Hines and fourth member Cassandra Graham.[4] In 2010, Blackfoot appeared as part of David Porter's music revue.[2]
On November 30, 2011, Blackfoot died after having being diagnosed with cancer.[2]

Troy Anthony Davis
I haven't blogged in awhile, but felt I needed to say something after this horrible miscarriage of Justice that happened to Troy Davis last night. Troy Anthony Davis was tried and convicted of the murder of a police officer in 1989. Troy has always stated he is innocent. 7 of the 9 witnesses have recanted their stories and stated that they were cohersed into testifying against Troy Davis. There was so much doubt in this case it is unbelievable. Troy was executed at 11:08 PM Est on September 21, 2011. We will always remember Troy Davis's fight. Troy maintained his innocence until the end by sitting up and facing the family before execution and stated to the family that he is innocent.

It's Time
IT’S TIME
IT’S TIME TO WAKE UP AND GET OUT OF BED.
CHAMPIONS SEEK TO FEED OTHERS, BUT LOSERS LOOK TO GET FED.
IT’S TIME TO STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH,
NEVER FOCUS ON WHAT YOU SEE ONLY ON WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO.
IT’S TIME TO LIVE BY EXAMPLE EACH AND EVERYDAY,
DOING THINGS RIGHT WILL BRING BLESSINGS YOUR WAY.
IT’S TIME TO LET GO OF THE PAST COURAGEOUSLY SHUTTING THE DOOR,
YOU CANNOT SEEK NEW OCEANS UNTIL YOU LEAVE THE SHORE.
IT’S TIME TO CHANGE ANYTHING THAT CONTINUES TO FAIL,
WISDOM TEACHES YOU TO ADAPT WHILE TRAVELING THE SUCCESSFUL TRAIL.
IT’S TIME TO SAY “I AM STRONG” NEVER LIVING TO BE WEAK,
MAKE SURE THAT IT IS TRUTH THAT YOU ARE STRIVING TO SEEK.
IT’S TIME TO FORGIVE STARTING WITH YOURSELF, “FREE YOUR MIND”,
YOU CAN NEVER BE GREAT CONTINUING TO BE BLIND.
IT’S TIME TO SAY I WILL MAKE IT NO MATTER THE PRICE,
KNOWING THAT OBEDIENCE IS ALWAYS GREATER THAN SACRIFICE.

16 Banks ordered to review foreclosure process
Update:
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) at Treasury and the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS) at the Fed issued such orders to 16 banks.
The orders “require each servicer to engage an independent firm to conduct a multi-faceted review of foreclosure actions between January 1, 2009, and December 31, 2010. This requirement includes a comprehensive ‘look back’ to assess whether foreclosures complied with federal and state laws, whether foreclosures occurred when grounds for foreclosure were not present, such as when loans were performing, and whether any errors, misrepresentations or other deficiencies resulted in financial injury to borrowers. The actions also require each servicer to establish a process for borrowers who believe they have been financially harmed by such deficiencies to make submissions to be considered for remediation. Each servicer must also submit a plan to remediate all financial injury to borrowers caused by any errors, misrepresentations, or other deficiencies identified in the independent consultant's findings.” (OCC press release: http://www.occ.treas.gov/news-issuances/news-releases/2011/nr-occ-2011-47.html)
Sixty days from the April 13 issuance of these order (that is, by approximately June 15) the banks have to present their findings and their plans for remediating in cases of improper foreclosure. When they present those findings and those plans, we will know how to advise and assist constituents who may qualify for remediation.
I have a direct contact with Congressman Hank Johnson's office and as soon as the process is released, I will post it here. So check often for updates.

Debtor's Prison 2011
Lawmakers, judges, and regulators are looking to crack down on the U.S. debt-collection industry's use of arrest warrants to recover money owed by borrowers who are in arrears on credit-card payments, auto loans, and other bills. More than a third of all U.S. states allow delinquent borrowers who cannot or will not pay to be jailed, and judges have signed off on more than 5,000 of these warrants in nine counties since the beginning of this year. Sloppy, incomplete, or even false documentation often can result in borrowers being jailed before they even know they are being sued for an outstanding debt. Earlier this month, Washington state's House of Representatives unanimously passed a bill requiring companies to provide proof that a borrower has been notified about lawsuits against them before a judge can issue an arrest warrant. Meanwhile in Florida, judges will soon receive training about the potential abuses of debt-related warrants; and Illinois regulators also are investigating the use of warrants by debt collectors. Nationwide, the Federal Trade Commission began scrutinizing the use of arrest warrants in debt-collection lawsuits, though a spokesman declined to say whether the inquiry has led to a formal investigation. So watch out for this and if you have an outstanding bill with a collection company they may be able to issue an arrest warrant for non payment. Tune in to my show on Monday April 18th as we speak with a gentleman that was arrested for an outstanding debt and had to spend time in jail to pay for the debt.

Bonds found guilty of obstruction of justice
A federal jury convicted Barry Bonds of a single charge of obstruction of justice Wednesday but failed to reach a verdict on the three counts at the heart of allegations that he knowingly used steroids and human growth hormone and lied to a grand jury about it.
Following a 12-day trial and almost four full days of deliberation, the jury of eight women and four men could reach a unanimous verdict only on one of the four counts against Bonds. U.S. District Judge Susan Illston declared a mistrial on the others, a messy end to a case that put the slugger -- and baseball itself -- under a cloud of suspicion for more than three years.
Bonds sat stone-faced through the verdict, displaying no emotion. His legal team immediately asked that the guilty verdict be thrown out and Illston did not rule on the request. She set May 20 for a hearing in the case.
The case also represented the culmination of the federal investigation into the Bay Area Laboratory Co-Operative steroids ring. Federal prosecutors and the Justice Department will have to decide whether to retry Bonds on the unresolved counts.
The counts that the jury could not resolve accused of Bonds of lying to the grand jury investigating BALCO in 2003 when he said he never knowingly took steroids or HGH, and when he said he was never injected by anyone except his doctors.
Each count Bonds was tried on carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison. However, federal guidelines suggest a total sentence of 15 to 21 months. For similar offenses in the BALCO case, Illston sentenced cyclist Tammy Thomas to six months of home confinement and track coach Trevor Graham to one year of home confinement.
Bonds walked out of the courthouse with his lawyers, who instructed him not to comment because they said the case isn't over.

No Justice in Georgia- Lawsuit to dissolve cities
The Case
The State of Georgia has violated the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment, the Fifteenth Amendment, as well as sections 2 and 5 of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 (VRA). The state committed these violations by creating super-majority White neighborhoods and communities within previously existing local government bodies (Counties), in which, African-Americans have historically maintained dominant political control.
These “cities”, (Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, Johns Creek, Milton, and Chattahoochee Hills) provide the exact same local government services and exercise the same government authority as the counties from which they were carved. By their creation, voting strength of African Americans within these cities has been diluted beyond the maximum Constitutional level and grossly in excess of the more restrictive provisions of the VRA. This has effectively taken the right to vote away from these African Americans.
The right to vote is fundamental to our American System, and to limit these individuals right to vote is unconstitutional and without justification.

Unemployment at 10.4% in Georgia
January's unemployment rate in Georgia remained at 10.4 percent, an all-time high. The December jobless rate, originally reported at 10.2 percent, was adjusted to 10.4, which is the same rate as January 2010. It was the 40th consecutive month that Georgia 's unemployment rate has exceeded the national average, which is now 8.9 percent. Georgia Labor Commissioner Mark Butler said, "Other troubling signs are that in the same 12-month period, the number of jobs has shown a miniscule increase, while the number of long-term unemployed has increased significantly."

Arizona Style Immigration Law passes the GA House of Representatives
After a lengthy debate Thursday, a majority of the House of Representatives voted to approve legislation intended to crack down on illegal immigration in Georgia by giving law enforcement more authority to investigate people's citizenship status and by penalizing businesses who hire undocumented workers.
Using a law enacted last year in Arizona , which borders Mexico , as a model, members of a special legislative committee that held several hearings last fall on the immigration issue drafted HB 87. The bill would authorize law enforcement officers to determine the immigration status of someone they have stopped or detained for a possible violation if they suspect the person is an illegal immigrant. The person could then be held by police for verification of their immigration status even after the basis for the original probable cause for the stop has expired.
Under the proposal, most business owners would have to provide evidence they have used the federal E-verify system to check the citizenship status of new employees. Using fake identification in order to gain employment would become a felony offense punishable by up to 15 years in prison. HB 87 would also provide Georgia residents an ability to sue a police force or other government agency in Superior Court if they believe the agency is not enforcing the immigration law.
I believe this measure will result in increased ethnic profiling of law-abiding citizens and adversely affect Georgia businesses, especially the agriculture and tourism industries.
After a vote of 113-56 in favor of passage, HB 87 now goes to the Senate for its consideration.
